As an Alamo wedding photographer, I had the joy of capturing Jessica and Chris’s wedding day at Round Hill Country Club. Surrounded by rolling hills and manicured greens, their celebration felt every bit as warm and golden as a wine country wedding. Best of all, it was just minutes from home in the East Bay.

Tucked into the foothills of Alamo, Round Hill Country Club offers something many East Bay couples don’t expect to find so close to home. The property has sweeping hillside views and manicured fairways that photograph like rolling countryside. In the late afternoon, golden-hour light pours across the course and transforms it into something truly cinematic.
Because of this, it’s an easy, elegant choice for couples who want a wine-country feel without the wine-country drive. It’s just a short trip from Danville, Walnut Creek, and Brentwood.
Jessica and Chris said their vows on the 9th hole green, with the valley stretching out behind them. This is one of the most striking ceremony settings the club has to offer. Afterward, everyone moved into the clubhouse ballroom for a reception that felt warm and celebratory, just steps from where the vows had been exchanged.
It was the height of summer, with that thick golden light only a late-July afternoon can give you. Jessica and Chris are playful by nature. They’re the kind of couple who laugh easily and don’t need much coaxing to be themselves in front of the camera. That energy set the tone for the whole day.
Their first look was the moment that had me grabbing my camera fast. Neither of them had a chance to compose themselves first, and that’s exactly what made it so special — it’s one of those split-second reactions you can’t recreate, only catch.
Against the polished, resort-like feel of the course, the whole afternoon had a luxury wedding atmosphere. It was elevated, sun-drenched, and completely their own. From getting-ready details to golden-hour portraits across the course, every frame captured the relaxed, joyful energy Jessica and Chris brought to their celebration.

As an Alamo wedding photographer, I’m always drawn to venues where the light does half the work. Round Hill Country Club delivers that in spades during golden hour. The open fairways give us room to wander for portraits without ever feeling far from the celebration. Meanwhile, the hillside backdrop adds a softness that feels timeless in every photo.
If you’re planning an Alamo wedding, or searching for a venue that feels elevated without requiring a destination trip, Round Hill Country Club is absolutely worth a visit. As your Alamo wedding photographer, I’d love to be the one capturing your day here too.
